Developmental Activities Program (DAP)

ESHA AHUJA

Class of 2021

As part of DAP, I worked at an NGO called IIMPACT, situated in Gurgaon, that works towards providing quality education for socially and economically disadvantaged girls aged 6 to 14, through community-based Learning Centres across Rural India. My experience at IIMPACT was really enriching, since it was the first ever internship that I engaged in as part of my university curriculum. The very aim of the Developmental Activities Program was to get us acquainted, as students, to the socio-economic problems and urgencies that exist within our Indian community, and what exactly is being done by organizations spread across India to tackle and mitigate those obstructions. Through this inbuilt internship, I believe that every student at FLAME can gain the foundational skills like empathy, discipline, cooperation, teamwork, and more that are equally crucial in the corporate world. Through my DAP experience, I definitely got a head start into the kind of mindset that I need to have in order to excel in the professional world!
